Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Broadway and Failsworth Lifesaving Club.
We are a Voluntary organisation and members of and affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) and through our involvement with them are constantly developing and improving the training programmes we offer to our members.
Our extremely dedicated team of volunteers aim to build on the fundamental skills, knowledge and values taught in the Lifesaving Awards and to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by Lifeguards.
Our aim is to train individuals in the skills and techniques of Lifesaving, Lifeguarding and CPR, provide each individual with the opportunity to acquire one of the skills for life. Encourage those that express an interest in furthering their careers in saving lives. Promote Lifesaving and Lifeguarding.
We offer a range of certified courses for Pool and Beach Lifeguards. These awards are recognised throughout the UK and Ireland and are awarded by the Institute of Qualified Lifeguards (IQL). We also offer a Rookie Lifeguard Programme for children aged 8 to 12 years old to teach them skills in Lifesaving.
Training sessions for the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) are held at Broadway Pool (New Moston, Manchester) and North Manchester Family and Fitness Centre (Harpurhey, Manchester). Training for the National Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NBLQ) are held at Debdale Outdoor Centre, Manchester (Inland) and Fleetwood (Coastal).
This website had been split into distinct areas so that visitors who want to know more about Broadway and Failsworth Lifesaving Club can quickly target the specific information they require.
